Requirements for traveling to Tikal Guatemala!

Placencia Car Rental requires 48 Hours advance notice to prepare the Permit Letter for the customer to be able to drive the rental across the Guatemala Border.                    [A fee will apply]

Fees THAT MUST BE PAID at the Belizean Border: 

• Must possess a valid driver license and passport
• $20.00 USD/pp | Exiting Belize - Departure Tax
• $5.00 USD Fumigation | Returning to Belize

 Fees THAT MUST BE PAID at the Guatemalan border: 

• $ 6.00 USD for fumigation
• $ 30.00 USD car papers – to cross the rental into Guatemala
• $ 6.00 USD Toll fee for municipality
• $ 30.00 USD - Entrance fee at Tikal 

**Please note customer will not be allowed to exit the Belize Border and cross into Guatemala if he/she does not have in possession the Permit Letter and have not paid the necessary fees required. Fees are payable at the Border only.
